East Riding College Beverley was the venue for the first FEO Masterclass of the year!
7 FEO members volunteered their time away from their busy schedules to join 40 college students studying Business and Media Studies for the Masterclass in business. A Masterclass covers various topics to help and highlight what is involved in starting your own business and the definition of an Entrepreneur, these include - People, Finance, Marketing, Tax & Insurance and Attitude.
The day began with new FEO member Jon Hilton who gave a truly inspiring talk entitled Bullets 2 Business. Some of the students admitted to having tears in their eyes whilst listening to the problems and obstacles Jon has overcome in his life so far to get to where he is today.
In the afternoon, using the information adsorbed and worked on throughout the day, each group of students came up with unique business ideas. Businesses ranged from finger print recognition key replacements to Make Up Apps! Each group then presented to the panel of FEO judges who marked accordingly and asked questions.
The winning group “Helping Hands” were awarded certificates, vouchers and reveived a huge round of applause from everyone in the room!
