Mattix Design

Matt Wildbore is the Director of Mattix Design Ltd. Specialising in bespoke business branding, web design and user experience for online systems and platforms, the company has a unique, collaborative approach to business.

Matt’s keen interest in design was ignited at a young age. After completing a degree in Contemporary Media Design and Production at the University of Hull, he began working for a variety of marketing and communication agencies, producing engaging visuals for a number of corporate clients.

Striving to further develop his skills and expand his creativity, Matt decided to set up Mattix Design Ltd in 2016.

During its first year of business, Mattix Design was commissioned to create material for Hull UK City of Culture 2017. This fantastic opportunity enabled the company to grow exponentially, as it produced leaflets, signage, posters and other graphic design elements for a range of cultural events across the city. Matt’s extensive portfolio includes design work for the Blade installation, New Music Biennial, Where Do We Go From Here? and Hull Comedy Festival, as well as a variety of exhibitions at Humber Street Gallery.

One key area that Matt prides himself on is his high standard of customer service. Beginning working life as an assistant for Asda Supermarket, his passion and talent for quality, personable communication quickly blossomed. This valuable skill is now applied daily when working with clients and other professionals for his own business.

As well as an insight into high-quality branding and visual identity, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the FEO community.

Matt possesses the ability to look at businesses from a variety of angles, helping the more traditional brands stand out from their industry competitors. Frequently working with other specialists during his own projects, Matt has close connections to the tech and digital hub over at the Centre for Digital Innovation.

On top of this, Matt deeply understands and can appreciate the position of some of the new businesses starting out today, as it wasn’t that long ago when Matt was setting up shop himself.
