Village Farm Marquees

Born and raised in South East London, I moved to Yorkshire in 2010 with my husband Tony in search of a new way of life.

Prior to moving north, I had a senior role within Human Resources and Recruitment for an International Financial Services business.

Our new home, Village Farm, had already benefited from a conversion of the outbuildings and was operating as a bed and breakfast, albeit with a very low occupancy and turnover. We initially set about making that a more commercially viable venture which now has 60% average occupancy through the year and a profitable turnover.

Tony was also keen to set up a marquee business that utilised the experience he had gained working in the industry in London and with my background which included project management, event management and process management it became apparent that we would be quite a good double act, so Village Farm Marquees was created with Tony and myself as 50:50 partners.

Village Farm Marquees provides high end marquee and temporary structure solutions for weddings, parties and corporate events across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire – as well as further afield for some of our corporate clients. We differentiate ourselves by delivering unrivalled levels of personal service and our ability to offer innovative, creative and often bespoke solutions for our clients.

Our marquee weddings have been featured in “Hello” magazine and Living North,which is slightly surreal but amazing!

I am also passionate about giving something back, both in my local community where I am able to support certain events through my business activities, but also by raising funds for The Alzheimer’s Society. In October 2017 I will be trekking the Great Wall of China which will not only raise much needed funds but will also be a huge personal achievement.
